Westroyd run a variety of after school clubs where children have the opportunities to further develop skills and pursue their interests outside of the classroom. Our after school clubs run every Tuesday 3:15pm until 4:15pm for KS2 children and Thursday from 3:05pm til 4:10pm for KS1 children.
Clubs are changed every term so that we can provide a wider variety of options and give all children the opportunity to join. Clubs are run by school staff, with the exception of the football clubs which are run by LED sports.
We ask that parents and carers inform the school if their child is unable to attend their club, this is so we can ensure that all children are safe.
We ask that parents collect their children promptly at the end of the clubs.
Please find detailed below the timetable of all the after school activity clubs which will take place throughout the academic year.
In addition to the after school clubs run by school we also have two lunchtime football clubs. Girl's Football and boys football club is on a Monday for Years 2,3,4,5 and 6. Both clubs are run by David Jackson from LED Sports. The clubs take place outside on the all weather pitch at 12:00pm and finish at 1:00pm.
The clubs are fun are are open to all abilities, to encourage both boys and girls to improve their football skills.
We still have a few places left for the lunchtime football, should your child wish to take part, please contact the school office as soon as possible.
" NEW" Coaching and Tutoring Clubs 2019
As part of our ongoing teaching, Westroyd have started two 'Coaching and Tutoring' after school clubs for KS1 and KS2. The clubs will be focusing on some of the key areas of the Maths and English Curriculum.
The clubs run on Tuesday for KS1 and Thursday for KS2. The clubs are free of charge and will be in small groups of 3-4 children who will be looking at similar skills. The aim is that the skills learnt in the clubs will be transferred into day to day lessons.
