Westroyd run a variety of after school clubs where children have the opportunities to further develop skills and pursue their interests outside of the classroom. Our after school clubs run every Tuesday from 3:15pm til 4:00pm.
Clubs are changed every term so that we can provide a wider variety of options and give all children the opportunity to join. Clubs are run by school staff.
We ask that parents and carers inform the school if their child is unable to attend their club, this is so we can ensure that all children are safe.
We ask that parents collect their children promptly at the end of the clubs.
Please find detailed below the timetable of all the after school activity clubs which will take place throughout the academic year. Please note that some clubs take place in the community room in the Early Years unit as well as in main school.
In addition to the clubs run by school on a Tuesday we also have a football after school club for all children in Years 1 to Year 4. The Football club takes place every Thursday afternoon 3:15pm - 4:15pm.
David Jackson form LED Sports runs the club. It is a fun club open to all abilities, to encourage both boys and girls to improve their football skills.
Year 2 Transition Clubs
As part of transition in the Summer 2 Term, Year 2 children are invited to attend an after school club at Springbank School. This will commence on Thursday 8 June 2017 for 5 weeks. Each club has around 15 Year 2 children and 15 Year 3 children. This allows the children to make friends with the Year 3 children and become familiar with Springbank school and meet some of the staff whilst having fun!
The Year 2 clubs will take place at Springbank School.
We ask that your child is collected promptly at 4:15pm from Springbank.
During this time the Year 2 Westroyd Football Afterschool Club will move to Thursday lunchtimes and our usual Tuesday Afterschool Clubs will continue as normal.
