Westroyd run a variety of after school clubs where children have the opportunities to further develop skills and pursue their interests outside of the classroom. Our after school clubs run every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15pm til 4:10pm.
Clubs are changed every term so that we can provide a wider variety of options and give all children the opportunity to join. Clubs are run by school staff.
We ask that parents and carers inform the school if their child is unable to attend their club, this is so we can ensure that all children are safe.
We ask that parents collect their children promptly at the end of the clubs.
Please find detailed below the timetable of all the after school activity clubs which will take place throughout the academic year. Please note that some clubs may take place in the community room in the Early Years unit as well as in main school.
In addition to the after school clubs run by school we also have two lunchtime football clubs. Boy's Football is on a Monday for Years 2,3,4 and 5. and girl's football is on a Thursday for Years 2,3,4 and 5. Both clubs are run by David Jackson from LED Sports. The clubs take place outside on the all weather pitch at 12:15pm and finish at 1:00pm.
The clubs are fun are are open to all abilities, to encourage both boys and girls to improve their football skills.
We still have a few places left on both clubs, should your child wish to take part, please contact the school office as soon as possible.
Year 2 Transition Clubs
As part of transition in the Summer 2 Term, Year 2 children are invited to attend an after school club at Springbank School. The clubs generally run for 5 weeks. Each club has around 15 Year 2 children and 15 Year 3 children. This allows the children to make friends with the Year 3 children and become familiar with Springbank school and meet some of the staff whilst having fun!
The Year 2 clubs take place at Springbank School.
Further information regarding the transition clubs will be given during the Summer 1 term.
