WELCOME TO EARLY YEARS
What does our Early Years look like? Watch our video, 'A day in the life at Westroyd'
The Early Years Team
The Early Years Team comprises of Mrs Hollingshead who is the Early Years Co-Ordinator and Nursery Class Teacher (currently on Maternity Leave). To cover her maternity leave we currently have Mrs Crompton (due to go on maternity leave), Mrs Edwards and Miss Galinsky in Nursery. In Reception class we have Miss Grimley. Mrs Winkley (Deputy Head) is also now covering in Early Years.
Mrs Fairclough and Mrs Cass are Nursery Nurses, and Mrs Brown is a Learning Support Assistant along with Mrs Agate who work between both classes.
At Westroyd we believe in providing children with first hand experiences. This means we create a learning environment where children can learn through play.
To find out more about learning through play please look at the powerpoint below. The links to our current planning can be found on the website on the 'About Us' section then 'Curriculum'.
