Information for New Nursery Parents 2020/2021

Welcome to Nursery at Westroyd!

Please meet the Nursery Team

As we are unable to meet you in person just yet, here is a little bit of information about our wonderful Nursery Team.

Miss Galinsky – Nursery Class Teacher Monday- Wednesday

Miss Galinsky is an experienced Early Years Teacher who has been teaching and leading Early Years settings for over ten years. She is relatively new to Westroyd Primary school and has brought her love of Early Years practice to the Nursery class. One of her real passions is supporting children to develop enthusiasm and confidence to try new things, as well as nurturing them to become resilient and independent learners! She loves to use open-ended resources and following children’s own lines of play, building on their interests to create new and exciting learning experiences. Her specialisms include early maths and literacy. When asked what Miss Galinsky loves most about Early Years, she simply says “The fun, smiles and surprises that happen every day!” In her spare time, she likes to run, take walks in the countryside and spend time with friends and family. She can’t wait to meet you all!

Mrs Fletcher - Learning Support Assistant

I am a Learning Support Assistant.  I have 16 years of experience in childcare, working in schools, nurseries and crèches.

I have worked at Westroyd for 2 years, working in wraparound, reading support in KS1 and LSA in Early years and KS1.

I am very passionate about supporting children with their learning, through play and the outside area.

I always welcome the children with a huge smile and I’m looking forward to my new venture in Nursery.

My hobbies are running, walking and being a mummy to my two children George (7) and Matilda (4).
