This is one of my most favourite learning activities that has occurred recently. The day, Mr Popple and Mrs Downing went to Hainsworth Park with Year Three to do some "Worm Charming." Drums, sticks, poles, balls, singing, dancing, even looked like some of Mr Fawcett's rounder bats were involved! They were very successful, safely encouraging a lot of worms out of the mud! And, like all the learning at Farsley Westroyd, it was memorable and therefore the scientific concept behind why they were charming worms will be embedded in the children's long-term memory!
