Spellings
Spellings will be set every Friday. They will be tested the following Friday. The first 10 spellings are taken from our spelling lesson that we do every Friday. The last 2 spellings on the list are taken from the Year 3 & 4 common exception word list. These are words that all Year 3 children are expected to know by the end of Year 4.
These spellings are also stuck in your child's spelling book that will be sent home every Friday.
Please remember to keep your child's spelling book in their book bags as we use this throughout the week.
In Year 3, we receive green points for achieving 12/12 on or spellings OR beating our score from the previous week.
We also receive green points if Miss Martin can see we have been completing our Spelling Shed homework for that week.
