Meet the Early Years Team

At Westroyd, we are lucky to have staff who provide a wealth of Early Years experience. Please see below to find out about the team.

Miss Dennison - Class Teacher

Miss Dennison joined the Westroyd team recently and is excited to continue her teaching journey in the Reception class this coming year. Having started her career just last year, she brings a fresh perspective and a strong enthusiasm for early years education. With her calm and kind nature, Miss Dennison is passionate about creating a purposeful and inspiring learning environment where children feel motivated to do their best. She particularly enjoys taking learning outdoors, using the natural world as a source of inspiration and exploration. After relocating to Yorkshire for her studies, she is now settling into the area and enjoys spending her free time hiking and walking with friends.

Mrs Fairclough - Nursery Nurse

Mrs Fairclough is a long standing member of the Westroyd team. She has a wealth of Early Years experience and knowledge. She is an outstanding practitioner who supports and leads children's learning to a high standard. She has a passion for phonics and is supporting our new approach to teaching early reading. Mrs Fairclough builds strong relationships with all pupils and is very nurturing. Her excellent knowledge of child development means she builds children's communication and social skills. Mrs Fairclough is a member of the Farsley community where she lives with her family. She enjoys walking and listening to music.
