There is also an informal monthly group in West Leeds that allows parents and families of a child with additional needs the opportunity to meet people in similar situations, make friends and support each other. Children are welcome!
Each month there is a different speaker and the opportunity to ask advice or seek 1-1 support with outreach workers.

SENDIASS
SENDIASS stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service. It is a free, impartial and confidential service available to children and young people with SEND, as well as their parents and carers. The service is independent of schools, local authorities and other agencies, ensuring that the advice provided is neutral and in the best interests of the child or young person.
MindMate
MindMate is a mental health and emotional wellbeing service for children and young people in Leeds. It provides resources, support, and information aimed at helping young people, parents, and professionals navigate mental health challenges. MindMate focuses on improving emotional and mental health across different age groups, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
