Westroyd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We are fully committed to ensure consistent safeguarding procedures are put in place to support staff, volunteers, visitors, children and their families. Everyone working in Westroyd has an objective to help keep children safe. Where ever possible we will speak to parents about safeguarding issues concerning their child and will speak to other agencies as necessary.
We do this by:
* Identifying children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm take appropriate action to keep them safe at home and in our school setting.
* Providing a safe environment for children to learn and develop in.
Keeping children safe from all kinds of harm is priority at Westroyd. School has a crucial role to play in this and works closely with services and other agencies in the local and wider community to do this.
In addition we work pro-actively to support children and their families so that crisis points can be avoided and give help and support where it is needed.
