It is the policy of the governing body that Westroyd adapt a simple school uniform. We expect all children to be smartly presented and that clothing, shoes and haircuts are appropriate for the age of the child.
The uniform consists of Black or Grey trousers/skirt/pinafore, white shirt or polo shirt and a red sweatshirt or cardigan. During the summer months Black or grey shorts, red and white checked school dress, white polo shirt and a sun hat.
School sweatshirts and polo shirts embroidered with the school name and logo can be purchased from both the School and Early Years office.
Please note: All clothing should be name labelled. Please ensure that children wear sensible footwear whilst at school- no high heels, crocs or flip flops.
Children must wear black shorts, black leggings or black jogging bottoms and a red Westroyd T-shirt. Red PE T-shirts can be purchased form the school office. Children will do dance and gymnastics in bare feet and we ask that children wear white or black trainers for outdoor PE. Long hair should be tied back. On PE days, children are to come dressed in their PE kits.
For health and safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear jewellery in school. Children with pierced ears may wear stud earrings only. These must be removed by parents on PE days. Staff are not permitted to remove earrings.
In year 5, children will go swimming as part of their PE curriculum. They will need to bring a swimming costume or swim shorts, towel, goggles and children with long hair will need a swimming cap.
