Westroyd Wraparound


Westroyd's wraparound club is known as Westroyd Woodpeckers. 

Its permanent place is in the community room in the Early Years building.


Children are to be dropped off and collected via the main entrance to the building on New Street.

During term time, Westroyd provide both a Breakfast Club and an After School Club which are run by School Staff.




The 'Breakfast Club' runs daily Monday to Friday from 7:30am until School starts, it is available for Nursery - Year 6 Children. Each morning Children are offered a simple breakfast, this is usually cereal, toast, fruit, fruit juice and milk.


A range of activities are offered for the children to take part in. These include board games, books and crafts. The children also have the opportunity to play outside games.

The Children are to be dropped off at the Community Room at Nursery where a member of staff will be there to meet you. Mrs Chambers is the breakfast co-ordinator and she is helped by a team of staff.


The cost of this is £4.00 per child per session.

Places are limited, should you wish to reserve a place for your child please contact either the School or Early Years office as soon as possible.


The After School Club runs Monday to Friday, from the end of the School/Nursery day until 6:00pm. During this time children are provided with a light tea (beans on toast, hot dogs, pizza etc) A range of activities will be on offer which includes outside play. Children are taken to the Community Room in the Nursery building by staff and this is where they will need to be collected from.

Mrs Chambers is in charge of the club and is assisted by Mrs Brown, Mrs Fletcher, Miss Robinson, Mrs Smith and Mrs Pinder.


The cost of this session is £12.00 per child per session. Children must be collected promptly by 6:00pm or an extra fee of £5.00 for each additional 15 minutes will be required for a late pick up. Discounts are offered for additional children in families where more than one child attends.

In order for children to feel safe and enjoy their time in the club, it is important that everyone follows the Club's rules.
