At Westroyd Primary School & Nursery, we break down the National Curriculum for each year group and teach units of work in topics or themes. Each topic is led by one main subject and this focus runs across school. We only link subjects that can be taught this way, some subjects (dependent on the topic) are taught independently as stand-alone subjects. In addition to this we hold topic days or weeks, which have a key focus across school and early years.
Each term, we invite parents and carers to ' Walk The Walls ', this gives the children the opportunity to show their learning.
